Reports then started emerging that it had been rebuffed with the Serie A side demanding over £100m for his services.

Italian paper Corriere dello Sport added that the midfielder was set to sign for the Red Devils in a monster £105m transfer and that details would be ironed out in a matter of time.

Gazzetta dello Sport said that Juve had accepted that Pogba was leaving once the Frenchman’s agent Mino Raiola asked the club to let him leave after agreeing personal terms with the Premier League giant.

French paper L’Equipe then broke the news just after 7pm that all three parties involved had given the thumbs up to the deal and a £105m fee had been agreed.Shortly after Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri reported that Pogba had informed his landlord that he would be leaving his rented property in Turin with Manchester calling.

Pogba is widely expected to become the world’s most expensive player, easily eclipsing Gareth Bale’s £86m move from Tottenham to Real Madrid in 2013.
