Popular Mugithi singer Samidoh Muchoki found himself trending again after a cheeky exchange with a fan who questioned his faithfulness. The fan accused him of getting involved with married women and urged him to stay loyal. In response, Samidoh used his signature wit, writing: “Fanya bidii, bibi yako hatateseka tena nikiwa hai.” (“Work hard, your wife won’t suffer while I’m still alive.”) The humorous retort quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions online.

Samidoh’s love life has long been the subject of public attention. His relationship with wife Edday Nderitu and his previous involvement with nominated senator Karen Nyamu, with whom he shares two children, has fueled online discussions. The love triangle made headlines in the past, including an incident in a Dubai nightclub, but he and Edday eventually reconciled. As of his November 1 birthday, they appeared to be celebrating milestones together publicly.

The recent social media exchange reminded fans of Samidoh’s ability to respond with humour and confidence. Netizens were quick to react to his comeback, flooding the comments section with praise and jokes. Essie Essie wrote, “Wueeh, Samidoh, hiyo come back ni Kali.” Jacinta Kamau added, “Samidoh usikubali wateseke, kama uko na mtu amesema amelemewa saidia yeye.” Other fans described his reply as “deadly” and “fire,” applauding the singer for handling the accusation with charm rather than anger.

For Samidoh, the incident reinforced his persona as a confident entertainer who balances a turbulent love life with humour and public engagement. Despite the scrutiny, he continues to connect with fans while keeping his private matters in the spotlight in ways that entertain and spark conversation.

The exchange also shows the fine line celebrities walk between personal life and public perception. Samidoh’s witty response turned a potential controversy into a moment of engagement, demonstrating his skill at navigating online criticism while maintaining his popularity.
