In 2017 around June, Mama Rosa aka Rosa Chepochesau Samson, rose to fame when she claimed that she ‘rose’ from death when self made Prophet David Owuor of the Repentance and Holiness Church intervened with prayers.
Mama Rosa first ‘death’ was reported on June 21, 2017. It is then that her husband Samson Lotirakori sought the intervention of Prophet Owuor who replied with a simple message of “it is well”, and she came back to life.
Residents from Cheparten village would flock her home to witness the ‘miracle’ most of them being her church members who would later use her as a pillar of testimony in their churches.
Then the woman mysteriously vanished from her home only to be seen back on 26th January 2019 during her burial in a nearby village.
Word hard it that she was nursing her illness in Eldoret, miles away from her hometown Kapenguria.
Nairobi News, local paper discovered that the woman was buried at sister-in-law Kostella Lopisto after being led to the graveyard by her husband.
It is also believed that some villagers were not happy with the resurrection news, who later forced them out of the village before vandalizing their church.
