Moses Oduor, an orphan from Siaya County in Nyanza region sat for his
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations in 2015 and scored an A of 81 points.

As many would expect, he should be studying or completed his university level, but that is not the case.

Moses Odour is languishing in dire need of poverty, and forced to work as a Jua Kali artisan so as to make his daily ends meet.

He decided to relocate to Nakuru town, where he currently works after failing to fund his admission to study Medicine at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).

”My passion has always been to become a pilot since I was young. I have not been able to join a piloting school because of poverty.

“I come from a humble family. I am an orphan. If you are able to assist me to achieve my dream, I’ll really appreciate,” he said.

His plight on social media has earned him willing good Samaritans who have expressed interests to help him fund his education quest.

In January 2019, heartbreaking story of Ruth Jemutai went viral after it became clear that she was dwelling in poverty despite having graduated from Chuka University in 2015 with a First Class Honours Degree in science, economic and statistics
