Renowned gospel singer Size 8, born Linet Masiro Munyali, has shared a striking testimony about a supernatural experience she had immediately after giving her life to Christ. In an interview with media personality Alex Mwakideu, she recounted a night marked by unexplainable events that reinforced her faith.
Size 8 transitioned from a successful secular music career to gospel in April 2013 following a personal spiritual transformation. That year, she released her first gospel single, Mateke, which became a hit and established her presence in the Christian music industry. She later took her ministry further, being ordained as a preacher at JCC Thika Church in December 2021, with her husband DJ Mo in attendance.
In the interview, Size 8 detailed the extraordinary night following her salvation. She said that while sleeping, she was surrounded by hooded men who emitted strange sounds around her bed, creating an unsettling atmosphere. “I am going to say this for the first time so that people can believe in Jesus’ existence. When I got saved, that day I released Mateke. Hooded men were around my bed, and they were humming. Then I woke up and said ‘Jesuuuuus!’ I heard a voice, like I am talking to you right now, saying, ‘My daughter, go back to sleep, I’m taking care of it,’” she recalled.
Size 8 described feeling a profound sense of peace after hearing the voice. She slept peacefully, and upon waking, the hooded figures had disappeared. The singer emphasized that the experience strengthened her faith and affirmed the power of calling on Jesus in times of fear.
Social media users reacted strongly to her story. Some expressed amazement, while others linked the experience to spiritual phenomena. One user noted that experiences like this are sometimes explained as sleep paralysis, a state where the mind is conscious but the body cannot move, often accompanied by a feeling of demonic presence. Others praised her testimony as a powerful reminder of faith.
Size 8 has also demonstrated her spiritual authority in public. Videos of her casting out demons during church services have circulated widely, showcasing her ability to minister and perform deliverance. These incidents, combined with her testimony, have reinforced her reputation as both a gospel singer and a spiritual leader.
Her journey from secular music to gospel, combined with personal spiritual encounters, continues to inspire her followers, cementing her position as one of Kenya’s most influential gospel figures.
