South Africa on Friday buried the 200 year old ‘spirit’ of David Stuurman after his bones were never found in Australia
David Stuurman was a rebel fighter, one of the states fine freedom fighter. The Khoisan cheif was buried symbolically where a coffin symbolically carrying the spirit was buried on Friday in his rural hometown of southern Hankey.
He died in Australia after he was sent from the Robben Island prison, he was supposed to spent the rest of his life their as a convict. Before being exported, he had managed to escape from the same prison located in South Africa
He is said to have died in 1830 in Sydney, where authorities could not ucover his body remains under Sydney Harbour Bridge.
