Stoopid Boy Accuses Oga Obinna of Pocketing Funds Meant for His Support After Rehab

Kenyan musician Stoopid Boy has publicly accused comedian and digital content creator Oga Obinna of exploiting his rehabilitation journey for personal gain. The “G Bag Na Jug” hitmaker claims that Obinna used his situation to market both his media platform and the rehabilitation centre where Stoopid Boy underwent treatment.

According to the artiste, the entire rehabilitation initiative was more of a business deal than a genuine act of support. Stoopid Boy alleged that Obinna was paid for promoting the facility and did not extend the promised financial help or provide proper accommodation following his treatment.

“The rehab story was a business. I was going to market that place. They didn’t even offer me a single cent,” said Stoopid Boy. He went on to accuse Obinna of receiving KSh 450,000 from well-wishers in Australia, money that was supposedly meant for his upkeep and resettlement. However, Stoopid Boy claims that he never saw the funds and was instead made to stay with Obinna’s bodyguard rather than being given independent accommodation.

Obinna had previously voiced frustrations over Stoopid Boy’s behavior post-rehabilitation and even suggested that the singer may have relapsed. However, Stoopid Boy maintains that many of the promises made to him during the rehabilitation period were never fulfilled.

In a surprising twist, Stoopid Boy also announced his intention to join politics. Speaking in his usual humorous tone, he referenced former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s rehabilitation journey, joking that if Uhuru could rise to the presidency, then he too could follow the same path.

“In 2027, I will vie for the presidency. It doesn’t matter whether I will get money to campaign or not,” he declared.

While some view his political statement as satire, Stoopid Boy’s grievances against Obinna have sparked debate about the authenticity of influencer-driven charity initiatives and the responsibility of public figures when helping vulnerable individuals.
