About 20,000 mammoth of chapatis were prepared to feed 5000 desperate Nairobi’s street life in an event organized Dennis Itumbi on his birthday. The event received a support from 300 celebrities who we engaged in preparations and entertaining the singled life that has been thrown to the garbage by the county government.
Dennis Itumbi, who is the Director of Digital Communication in the office of the president said that some of the kids who are interested in education will be rehabilitated and send back to school.
The, according to Itumbi featured artists such as Big Ted, Big Kev, Chris Kirwa, and showbiz personalities such as Kiss 100 Shaffie Weru, Ben Githae, Daddy Owen, Churchil, Crème dela Crème, Jimmy Gathu, Abel Mutua and Chipkezzey will be participating in the event at Moi Avenue Primary School
Itumbi said that the plans for the event commenced a month ago and were geared towards sharing with the disadvantaged in the society especially the street children who have been neglected for so long and nothing seems to be done for them.
Itumbi is known to have been a controversial government blogger before the government of Uhuru appointed him as the Director of Digital Communication.
He is known to be a harsh government protector who defends and represents government’s policies and agendas on the social media especially on twitter.
Many critics have termed him as a government’s mouth piece of social media whose racial thinking has been compromised on certain government decisions.
He is recently remembered to have moved to Uhuru’s defense after the Kenyan president had congratulated president Museveni of Uganda over winning a shambolic elections
