Tanzanian police have issued a warning to men who will make suggestive sounds towards women with buttocks.

According to the Unguja Urban West Regional Police Commander, Ali Hassan Nassir, such men will be escorted to the law while under arrest.

He says that the act us shamefull which disturbs women from walking comfortably in public.

Mwanza Region Gender Desk head Betinisibo Shija opines that the cases of sexual violence has decreased in Tanzania from the effort by the government to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators while providing needed help to the victims
