Thee Pluto Opens Up on Tensions with Felicity Shiru’s Family Over Co-Parenting

Youtuber-turned-forex trader Thee Pluto has revealed ongoing struggles with the family of his ex-partner, Felicity Shiru, saying repeated attempts to communicate have gone unanswered.

Pluto and Shiru ended their three-year relationship in September 2024, announcing on Instagram that they would co-parent their daughter Zoey, born in 2022, respectfully and without conflict. Despite this commitment, Pluto claims that communication with Shiru’s family has broken down, leaving him sidelined as a father.

Speaking during an interview with Oga Obinna, Pluto said efforts to reach Felicity directly have become increasingly difficult. He also noted that her mother often ignores his calls and messages, even when he reaches out about their daughter.

“Because kama simu yangu huchukui as the grandmother of the kid, you don’t know what I want to say. Why can’t you pick up my phone? Why can’t you respond to my messages?” Pluto asked. He described a pattern of being blocked from family communication despite repeated respectful attempts to engage.

Pluto also referenced past conversations involving financial expectations, saying he sought clarity on support arrangements to avoid misunderstandings. He stressed that his concerns are not personal attacks on Felicity, who he says cannot defend herself publicly. His focus, he said, is on respect and cooperation for the sake of their child.

“I have asked so many times, how much money do you want? Coz if it’s about money. Because I remember the last time I was told I never bought it, I don’t know what. I have the messages here; I wouldn’t come here and lie about this kind of thing in front of people. The reason I wouldn’t talk about Felicity as a person is that she is not here to defend herself. That’s why I am only dwelling on respect,” Pluto shared.

The revelations have sparked debate online, with netizens commenting on the role of extended family in co-parenting. Many emphasized the importance of fathers in a child’s life, while others defended the position of grandparents in setting boundaries.

Pluto’s situation highlights the challenges of co-parenting after a high-profile breakup, especially when extended family members become involved. He continues to advocate for open communication and mutual respect to support the wellbeing of Zoey.
