Kisumu International Airport was on spot Saturday evening after a video showed rain falling on passengers who were in the waiting room.
The video showed heavy rains outside the buildings, while inside, passengers were seen piling up in corners as they avoided off raining zones within the building.
A number of seats and floors were seen waterlogged.
In 2012, former President Mwai Kibaki opened the airport to international status after it was upgraded with sh.3 billion.
Initially the port was handling domestic flights before being a go ahead with international business.
