For Kenyan football fanatics, here are top 10 Kenyan footballers of all the time who remain the best to be beaten by upcoming stars

1.Victor Wanyama

Victor Wanyama has made a great impact in football and remains the best player in East Africa as a professional footballer.

He has played against key footballers such as Barcelona star Lionel Messi and scored as well as playing in the much coveted UEFA Champions League.

He first made a mark in football when he joined Scottish giants Celtic FC, before joining English Premier League sides Southampton and Tottenham Hotspurs.

His monthly salary was estimated at Ksh.31 million

His best form came when he finished top on the league as second best with Tottenham under the guidance of coach Mauricio Pochettino.

2.Divock Origi

Even though he has not played for Harambee Stars. Origi born to Kenyan parents snubbed Kenya for Belgium where he was a key feature during World Cup 2014 where he scored a major boost goal to qualify from group stages.

Origi played for Lille in Belgium before moving to Liverpool in EPL as well as spending a loan spell in Bundesliga under Wolfsburg.

Origi has featured in Champions League and scored several goals under his name

Monthly salary – Ksh.20 Million

3.McDonald Mariga

Mariga made history in 2010 as the first Kenyan and East African national to play in Uefa Champions League when he was called into action with
Internazionale on 16 March 2010

Mariga played for Parma, Oviedo, Latina among other top clubs based in Italy.

His best salary mark was believed to be Ksh. 7 million

4.Michael Olunga

Former Gor Mahia striker impressed many before moving on to pursue a higher level career in Europe.

Among key clubs he featured for included on loan spell in La Liga playing for Girona where he made a record of the first Girona player to score a hattrick in La Liga

He also faced La Liga star Lionel Messi from Barcelona during their league clashes on both legs.

Olunga a rough salary is approximated at Ksh. 13 Million per month.

Olunga also featured for Japanese league side Kashiwa Reysol

5.Olsson Twin Brothers

The two brothers born to Kikuyu mother and Dutch father, played for Derby county before goes different ways. Martin played for Swansea City in EPL while Marcus featured for Norwich during his EPL time

They earned a salary estimate of Ksh. 15 million each per month.

6.Arnold Origi

The Kenyan keeper featured for top clubs in Europe such as Kongsvinger in the Norwegian OBOS-ligaen and HIFK Fotbol.

Origi than earned around 4 million a month in KES.

7.Dennis Oliech

During his heydays in Europe, he earned good cash totalling to about Ksh. 8 p.m while playing for top clubs such as Nantes

While playing for Gor Mahia, he earned a salary of Ksh. 350K per month.

8.Allan Wanga

Homeboyz player made a huge mark on Kenyan soil.

In 2019, he was romoured to be on the verge of joining Scottish giants Celtic FC.

He also served as a sporting director in Kakamega County government

Wanga made around Ksh.200K from his football talent per month

9.Ismael Athuman

Ismael Said Athuman González plays for Spanish club UD Las Palmas Atlético, and the Kenya national team. 

Athuman salary is not great, but thought to be about Ksh. 4 million per month

10. Francis Kahata

Kahata is a key man in Gor Mahia, the greatest club in KPL.

Kahata pockets Ksh.150K per month from Gor Mahia
