If the top pupil in KCPE 2016 was to be ranked among the 2017 KCPE pupils, the candidate would not make it into the top 20 of this years KCPE results.

Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi said this during the official release of KCPE 2017 results which were sat on just a few weeks ago.

He noted that their was a huge increase in performance.

Important notes from Fred Matiang’i KCPE Results Release.

  1. The second best student is from a Public School noting that the public school performance has improved tremendously
  2. Technology was heavily used, which saw the use of more than 100 million worth gadgets and implementation
  3. Disabled students who got more than 400 marks would be absorbed in national schools
  4. Private schools which had students in top 100 nationwide would be supported by the government. The students will also be supported.
