Trends come and trends go, but some styles are just designed to stick around. These items are something that you should have in your closet if you don’t already. And remember fashion is about individuality, just make it work for you and as long as you’re comfortable and look great, that’s all that matter! Let’s take a look at how celebrities have worn these trends.

The basic white tee
The basic white T-shirt is an absolute must-have. Whether for work or to work out, there’s a perfect white tee just for you. Cool cotton is great for casual days, while stretchy, fitted Lycra blends are ideal for layering. Choose v-neck or crewneck — either style is a fashion classic.

The strapless dress
A strapless dress has the potential to say “sweet” or “sexy” — or both. This feminine, shoulder-baring style is a popular choice among brides, and it works in so many other fashion scenarios too. Think strapless when you shop for minis, maxis, sundresses or evening gowns. Showing off your gorgeous shoulders is always a good fashion move.

Ballerina flats
There’s a time and place for stilettos, and the same holds true for sneakers. The rules are more relaxed for ballerina flats. Wear them with flowing dresses or pencil skirts. Pair them with any kind of pants: skinny, wide or denim. Whatever your style, there’s a pair of trendy, graceful ballerina flats for you.

 Jackets & blazers
Men’s blazers don’t change much from one fashion era to the next, but women have experimented with just about every size and shape of jacket. A smart linen blazer is a career must, while a cropped denim jacket looks amazing over a peasant maxi dress. Jackets and blazers work for everyone – worn loose or fitted, with or without a belt, long or short. Anything goes!

Jeans
A long, long time ago, jeans were nothing more than work clothes. Now, of course, jeans are the workhorse of your wardrobe – from mainstream denim to high-fashion designer jeans. The options are incredible: dark or light, baggy or skinny, low-rise or high-waisted, long or short, fringed or cropped… the list goes on and on, and so does jeans’ popularity.

Oversized sunglasses
Nothing says “celebrity” like a pair of truly oversized sunglasses. This important fashion accessory completes an outfit and offers the added benefit of protecting your precious eyes from the harsh rays of the sun.

Leggings
Where would we be without leggings? Versatile, practical leggings have so many uses. Use them to transition from summer to fall. No time to shave? Add a pair of leggings to that mini, and you’re all set. Pair them with ballerina flats or riding boots. Wear them Capri-style or to the ankle. Collect a pair in every solid colour and perhaps a few patterns.

The white blouse
Got to love a simple white button-down blouse. Just think about the variations over the decades: crisp linen and gauzy cotton, man-tailored sleeves and ruffled cuffs… Wear it under a jacket in cool weather or over a swimsuit in the summer. The possibilities are endless.

The little black dress
The little black dress (or LBD) has become a wardrobe essential. It’s the no-fail choice for just about any night out, and it looks great with just about any accessories. Once you’ve found your perfect LBD, you’ll never part from it.

Boots
Any style whether it be flat boots, heels, a little wedge. Just keep it simple. Although, certain height boots work better on different people. Go for an ankle boot if you have long legs, or go with a knee height boot if you’re on the shorter side.
