Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Jkuat) lost a fresher on 7th February 2019 on Thursday after she was stabbed to death.
Tabitha Muthoni, the fresher met her killers Segal Hotel when she was confronted by a group of armed thugs in company of her fellow students around 8pm at night.
The robbers stabbed her when she resisted to be robbed, and fled leaving the rest unhurt.
It is believed that the rest had complied with the robbery.
She died at JKUAT hospital after she could not hold on to her wounds.
A peaceful demo was consequently called on bu the following day from the officials of Jomo Kenyatta University Students Association (Jkusa).
“This is to inform all students that we will be having a peaceful demonstration in Juja Enviros. Following series of killings, most recent having been on 7th Feb 2019 at Segal Hotel,” the notice read
A student was also killed by robbers at the same area when he alighted from Juja and was headed to his house in nearby estate.
