South African Amapiano star Tyler ICU will perform in Eldoret for the first time, thrilling Kenyan fans with an electrifying show. The concert, titled Tyler Live in Eldoret, is scheduled for Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Rupas Mall.
The event is a collaboration between The Backyard Soirée and The Baniyas Square, aimed at giving Tyler ICU his first stage presence in East Africa. The announcement has generated excitement among Kenyan Amapiano lovers, with fans eagerly anticipating a night of music and entertainment.
Gates for the show will open at 12:00 pm, allowing attendees to enjoy a lineup of local deejays and music acts before Tyler ICU takes the stage. The show is expected to draw a large crowd from across Kenya and the region.
Tickets for the event have been selling fast. Advance tickets are priced at KSh 1,500, gate tickets at KSh 2,000, and VIP tickets at KSh 4,000. Early Bird tickets have already sold out.
Tyler ICU will share the stage with a lineup of top local artists including Ian, Dusmale, Mike T, Sule, MGM Kenya, MC Emma, Gudah Man, and Ms Bune. Fans can expect a high-energy night filled with Amapiano hits.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Tyler ICU expressed his excitement about performing in Kenya. “I can’t wait to land in Nairobi and meet my fans. I am ready for Kenya. I hope my people are ready. It is going to be an epic experience. We will make wonderful memories in that beautiful country,” he said.
Born Austin Khulani Baloyi in Kempton Park, Gauteng, Tyler ICU gained fame with his platinum hit “Mnike,” which topped South African charts for 16 consecutive weeks. His collaboration “Bella Ciao” with Nicole Elocin, DJ Maphorisa, and Kabza de Small in 2020 was a major success, followed by the double platinum single “Banyana” in 2021. He is currently promoting his club hit “Mike.”
Tyler ICU was also nominated for Best African Act at the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards following the success of “Mnike,” although the ceremony was canceled due to the Gaza conflict.
The Eldoret show is expected to be a milestone for Kenyan entertainment, marking Tyler ICU’s first performance in the country and highlighting Eldoret as a growing hub for live music and nightlife.
