They instead have went ahead and formed a social media campaign to expose leaders whom they feel are having a lap of luxury at the expense of the public.
A twitter tending hashtag dubbed #WeKnowYourSalary championed by self made blogger Cyprian Nyakundi and Robert Alai has since gained mileage and busted a number of top politicians who Kenyans feel they are living a very unfair lifestyle.
The biggest casualty in the busting hashtag is Deputy President William Ruto and Kirinyaga women rep Anne Waiguru.
