Campus students kiss because it’s what they should do at that age.

In most local universities, it is common to find two lovers fondling at a corner, an alley if not in public… But at Moi University, students may just not be kissing any time soon — an outbreak of Hepatitis B at the University’s ‘Stage’ shopping centre has had some students admitted in hospitals in the area.

According to students who live in the area, two of them were admitted at Mediheal Hospital in Eldoret and tested positive to the disease.

“We were told that public health officers from this area are working round the clock to know the root cause of this. But we are being adviced even on WhatsApp groups to avoid kissing and exchanging body fluids,” said third year political science student Moses Magero.

Stage shopping Centre in Moi University has the largest population of students and locals, being the central shopping point and open to nearby villages.
