Dancehall icon Vybz Kartel has ignited a wave of excitement across Kenya after doubling down on his earlier promise to perform in the country in 2025. The Jamaican superstar, known for hits like Fever, Clarks, and Summertime, addressed Kenyan fans directly during a recent TikTok Live session, making it clear that he’s ready to grace the Kenyan stage—if local promoters step up.

“Tell the Kenyan promoters that I am ready to come home,” Kartel said during the live broadcast, a statement that sent social media into overdrive. For many fans, it was more than a concert announcement—it was a dream reignited.

This isn’t the first time Kartel has mentioned plans to perform in Kenya. In a previous online appearance, he teased a 2025 tour stop in Nairobi, triggering wild speculation over potential venues, ticket pricing, and event dates. With his latest confirmation, it now seems more likely than ever that the long-awaited show might finally materialize.

The announcement comes just months after the dancehall legend was released from prison, having served 13 years behind bars. Since regaining his freedom, Kartel has been staging a massive global comeback tour, with performances lined up in the US, UK, and Caribbean.

Kenyan fans have responded with uncontainable energy, with many pledging to do whatever it takes to attend the concert—some even joking about selling household items just to buy tickets.

“Unakuja lini niuze safuria zangu mapema,” one fan commented.

“Mimi kama ctakua n dooh nauza bed n kiti,” another joked, highlighting the lengths die-hard fans are willing to go for a ticket.

Kartel’s potential debut in Kenya would also mark his first performance on African soil, making it a historic occasion for the continent’s dancehall lovers. Despite earlier debates over projected ticket prices—rumored to be as high as KSh 38,000 for regular entry—many insist the Worl’ Boss is worth every coin.

As fans await official confirmation from Kenyan event organizers, speculation continues to swirl around possible venues. Some predict a massive outdoor concert at Nairobi’s iconic Kasarani Stadium, while others suggest coastal cities like Mombasa, known for their vibrant nightlife scenes.

The online reaction has been swift and passionate, with trending hashtags like #VybzKartelInKenya and #WorlBoss2025 capturing the mood of the nation.

For now, all eyes are on Kenyan promoters to turn Kartel’s promise into reality. And if the fan buzz is anything to go by, Vybz Kartel’s 2025 show could easily become one of the most anticipated music events in Kenya’s history.
