Vi Agroforestry is an International Non-Governmental Organisation (INGO) with headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden and registered in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda as an international NGO.
The organization seeks to recruit for the position of Head of Finance and Administration to be based at its Country Office in Kitale, Kenya. Reporting to the Country Manager, the position is responsible for managing the finance and administration functions at the Kenya Country Office, Kitale.
The position will ensure sound and transparent accounting and financial management (efficient, timely and accurate financial information and reporting, cash management, payroll, financial disbursements, records and ensure compliance), and providing effective support to human resource and administration in respect of staff, logistics, infrastructural and equipment maintenance, and general administration.
The candidate should be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, business related field. (Master’s degree in business related area will be an added advantage).
Also must be a holder of professional accounting qualification; CPA (K) or ACCA. And must have at least five (5) years post qualification experience three (3) of which should be in a management position.
Further, the individual should have very good appreciation of computerized accounting packages (accounting software) preferably iscala, proven skills in accounting and auditing, strong analytical skills and good knowledge of donor funding programs.
