Victor Wanyama has now acquired his new citizenship in UK and will now have a British passport.
Wanyama who had stayed in UK for more than five years earning him the basic qualification.
His brother Harry Wanyama confirmed his new citizenship status which means Wanyama now holds dual citizenship.
“It’s a normal, thing for a footballer to get British Citizenship after playing or staying here for at least five years,” he confirmed.
This comes after Wanyama was unveiled by Montreal Impact as their new player from Totenham Hotspurs
