The new WhatsApp feature update on Android and iOS which stops malicious admins from adding you to unwanted groups could not have come at the right time than this.
The feature requires a WhatsApp user to consent before he/she joins a group upon a request from the admin.
The users can set the feature through the setting’s privacy option where one can choose who can add them to groups such as ‘Everyone’, ‘My Contacts’, or ‘My Contacts Except.
WhatsApp users will also be able to blacklist a number of contacts from adding them to groups, but the admins could request the invites through private chats
