The Chrome Custom Tabs were announced on Google IO 2015, and allow any application on Android to integrate Google’s browser to avoid leaving the application when a link is needed.

According to Android World, the new feature of Whatsapp has arrived in a staggered way for some beta users, so if you are enrolled in the program, you may not have access to the Custom Tabs.
