A man succumbed to the burn injuries he suffered from fire burns after he was set to light by his own wife after grueling over phone password.
According to local media, Dedi Purnama was working to repair roof tiles on the couple’s home when his wife, Ilham Cahyani, asked for the password to his phone.
As the argument escalated, the man dropped down from the roof and hit his wife, East Lombok Police Chief Made Yogi reported.
In her response, Cahyani grabbed a can of petrol and poured it to the husband before setting him on fire.
Oji, a witness and Good Samaritan rushed to save the unfortunate man before he was rushed to Keruak Health Centre where he succumbed to his injuries two days later.
Police have launched investigation after arresting the woman and putting her in custody at East Lombok Regional Police.
