Kenyan comedian YY recently opened up about one of his deal breakers when meeting a woman he likes, igniting debate among fans. During an interview with Shiksha Arora, YY shared insights into his personal habits, dating expectations, and relationship boundaries.

The comedian, who is known for his fitness-focused lifestyle, revealed that he eats once a day, limits sugar intake, and allows cheat days only on weekends or during social gatherings. “It does gym has a feel good effect. In the beginning you won’t see the effect. It’s small bits of improvement that amounts to something very amazing. It compounds to one huge feeling. The change in diet has made me a better version of myself,” he said.

YY also addressed his stance on sharing personal struggles on social media, stating that he prefers to keep private matters private. “Is there a difference if you cry in private and in public? When you take your issues on social media, it changes nothing. Some of these people who bring issues to social media try to seek validation,” he explained.

When discussing his dating life, YY admitted that he is not single and goes out on dates with multiple women. “I’m very happy and I’m seeing a lot of people now. I have not narrowed it down,” he said. He also revealed that he does not maintain friendships with women, citing that men and women cannot “just be friends” in most circumstances.

The most controversial revelation came when YY disclosed a deal breaker from his early encounters. He said he once ended a relationship because a woman did not make the bed after their first night together. “I have dumped a woman because they woke up and she never spread the bed for the very first time we met. I left her sleeping and came back; she left, and the bed was not spread. It’s not about the bed, it’s the idea behind it,” YY explained.

His candid admission has sparked mixed reactions online. Some fans criticized him for having strict expectations, while others advised practical solutions, such as hiring a house manager or adjusting standards for early-stage relationships.

YY’s revelations highlight his personal approach to dating and relationships, combining high standards, fitness discipline, and clear boundaries. Whether fans agree or not, his comments have reignited conversations about expectations, gender roles, and relationship dynamics in contemporary Kenya.
