The Regional Delegation in Nairobi is seeking for; an experienced, highly motivated and qualified person to fill the position of;
PLUMBER
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Analyze and improve existing piping towards preventive maintenance;
Assess repairs and take decisions;
Perform basic joinery works and masonry;
Install new systems including water pumps and boosters;
Interpret building plumbing drawings.
REQUIREMENTS:**
Diploma in plumbing installation/water and sewerage drainage;
Computer literate, especially in Microsoft office (excel and word);
Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar function;
Valid driving licence with class BCE.

Driver ( Based in Homa Bay, Kenya ) SNV Netherlands Development Organisation
Position Summary
SNV Kenya is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of a driver in Homa Bay County. The SSH4A programme covers Rangwe, Suba and Mbita sub counties in Homa Bay. The driver will be expected to carry out his/her responsibilities in these areas. The driver will report to the SSH4A project administrator.
Responsibilities
The position is responsible for undertaking extensive field travel in the SNV area of work and others as duty may require, ensuring safety of passengers on board.
Maintaining the proper functioning of SNV vehicles
Checking validity of vehicle insurance and road license.
He/she is also responsible for taking care of the assigned vehicle(s) by carrying out small (mechanical) repairs and servicing of the SNV transport fleet, which also includes fuelling, cleaning.
Ensure that the vehicles are always ready for any duty assigned
Keep an updated work ticket always.
Monitor vehicle performance and service schedule
Carry out messenger duties in and around town
Any other task that they may be assigned
Candidate profile
“O” level certificate holder
A clean, valid Kenyan Driver’s license with knowledge of Kenya Highway Code
Certificate of good conduct
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Contract duration 1 year with possibility of extension
Expected start date April 2017

Duties and Responsibilities
i. Carrying out simple treatment of animals;
ii. Participating in disease search and reporting;
iii. Demonstrating on milking techniques and external parasite control techniques such as dipping, spraying and dusting;
iv. Carrying out vaccination;

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
i. A certificate not less than two(2) years in any of the following fields:- Animal Health, Environmental Health, Animal Health and Production from a recognized institution;
ii. Be registered by the Kenya Veterinary Board;
iii. Certificate in computer applications’ from a recognized institution;
iv. Certificate in Artificial Insemination from a recognized institution; and Certificate in Veterinary Public Health or Meat Technology (Candidates with these will have an added advantage);
v. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
