Combating crime and restoring sanity in Kenya has been left at the expense of Kenyan Police, however the public has a very huge role as much as the police do.

It begins with notifying the police, contrary to the convoluted process that has been faced out by police reforms, Kenyans can now report to police with ease and combat a criminal activity.

Police have issued out the following methods as official means of launching a complaint or reporting a case to police

  1. One can report a police case by simply walking into the nearest police station or post
  2. Call Toll Free Number 0800721230 which will be received by call centre service managers
  3. Filling up an online complain via http://www.iau.go.ke/
  4. One can also send a police complain via mobile app- ARIS Mobile application available on the google play store.
  5. SMS to 40863 is also valid with details such as time, where, what and who questions answered.
  6. Using *683#  on can also repeat step 5
  7. Call to 0798 474 619 will also be worthwhile to police
  8. Using Twitter handle @NPSOfficial_ke is also valid means of crime reporting
  9. Their also an email provision system for crime reporting- iau@nationalpoliceservice.go.ke
  10. Lastly, the mail boxes are still operational- launch complain via P.O BOX 1880-00100
