With some of them beginning with community or charitable media houses, then making Kenya’s top media houses to be their career foundation, have proved beyond doubt that a shooting star cannot fall from its orbit.

1.Larry Madowo-BBC
NTV ex-journalist Larry Madowo career is set to go on another brink after he just left his boyhood station NTV.
The word is he has already landed a desk with BBC and he will be in charge of Business News in Africa.
This is a new office that BBC seeks to use to send deeper roots into the grounds of Africa and its reporting.
The new office will be based in Riverside, Nairobi CBD.

2.Joy Dorren Biira- DW
The 31 year old media consultant Biira left KTN news for a plum job with German iconic media house DW about a 2 years ago.
Birra is one of the most admired journalists of the modern time
3.Jeff Koinange- CNN
Jeff Koinange worked with CNN for more than 5 years before circumstances forced him out of the scenes.
Jeff had been accused of bribing witnesses in Nigeria while interviewing militia groups
4.Zain Verjee-CNN
Born and raised in Kenya, Verjee spent 14 years at CNN before she left therefore forming her own media house focused on African issues.
She is the only Kenyan who left CNN with a zero scandal
4.Soni Methu-CNN
Though she worked with CNN for a couple of years. She left the iconic media house without her will.
Soni who works with CCTV revealed that CNN had changed the way stories were being formatted, where it required no host but rather story tellers or just character based programs
5.Edith Kimani-DW
Another cute looking journalist who left KTN in search for greener pasture in Germany.
She landed a job with German top media house DW. Edith and Doreen both are workmates who came from KTN .KTN has been lauded as a good training ground for journalists
6.Caro Robi-DW Radio
Caro is a voice radio journalist who came from KBC to German side DW.
She works in the same media house as of the two Kenyans Edith Kimani and Joy Doreen Biira
7.Kahumbi Makori- BBC
Former Citizen TV top reporter joined Dira Ya Dunia show which is under the auspices of BBC. She has been based in London since a year ago
8.Anne Soy- BBC
She was promoted to Africa’s senior correspondent after bagging a number of awards on health reporting
9.Dennis Okari-BBC
Dennis Okari worked with BBC on a brief notice before making a u-turn to his former employer NTV.
