10 Popular Tricks Kenyan Drivers Use To Try Cover Up Drink-Driving – But They Don’t Work

Kenyan drivers are prohibited under the law to driver under the influence of alcohol, however cheeky drunk drivers would still want to fool police and think that avoiding an alcohol breathe would pass them through the alcohol-blow detector.

This tricks do not work since it only makes you look fresh from alcohol but your blood and brain is still soaked in alcohol, meaning that your abilities are equally impaired

Kenyan drivers, despite their boyish tricks, have faced the law since their theatrics no longer work in their favor.

Below are some of the tricks they try to pull.

  1. Chewing gum to reduce the smell of alcohol in their breathe
  2. Driving off roads to avoid police stops
  3. Eating heavily after alcohol in hope that it neutralizes excess alcohol
  4. Some drivers spray perfume so as to clear away the smell of the liqour
  5. Also they take coffee in hope of getting much sober
  6. Making themselves instant sick patients to run away from police 
  7. Sucking a slice of lemon so as to reduce the smell of the bottle
  8. Putting a penny under their tongue to try fool the breathalyser
  9. Some drivers leave their vehicles and run way from police
  10. Others pretend to be mad to avoid police arrests
