The 36 years old Emmy Kosgei was born in Kelewa village in Mogotio, Koibatek District in Baringo County. She is one of the celebrated gospel songbirds in Kenya. Some of her popular songs just to mention a few, includes Taunet nelel, O’lolo, Kongoi Baba, Ategisin Jehova and Ongeurereu. She sings using the local native language of the Kalenjin but the unique angle she gives her music has attracted the global audience.
