Roy Smith Mwita a.k.a Ruffton is Daddy Owen’s elder brother. Just as Owen, Ruffton is also a gospel musician. He is known for his famous hit Mwikulu. Mwikulu is a Luhya word meaning heaven. It was a great hit in 2000, dominating radio stations for quit sometimes. His other popular hits includes: Mungu Baba, Tsinyanga Tsiwere, Manyunyu, Nimetambua among many others.

10. He debuted into the Kenyan music industry in 1999. His first album, ‘its up to you’ attracted larger attention in the public domain. In 2000, he started recording with the Ogopa DJs.
9. He got born again in in 1999, when he was almost releasing a secular album. He changed to gospel just after receiving Christ.
8. He is a graphic designer. He loves drawing. He even joined Buruburu Institute of Fine Arts (BIFA) in Nairobi to pursue diploma in graphic design. Music was so absorbing that he was not able to complete his course.
7. He is married to Krystal, a fellow gospel artist and together they have a daughter called Karren.
6. He has inspired most Kenyan gospel artists which includes, Mr Googs, Daddy Owen, Rington, SK Blue and Ambassador.
