Last year, the top student scored 449 marks but this year’s 2016 results, the top student gunned 436 marks out of the total 500 marks.
Only 5190 students managed to get marks above 400 which was a dropped as compared to the last years number, 7560, said education CS Matiang’i during the announcement at the Kenya Institute Of Curriculum Development.
By January 9th, 2017 students will be expected to join their respective schools as compared to the usual February month.
No one will have his or her exams cancelled out of the total 952,021 who sat for the exams because their was no exam leakage, said Matiang’i.
By December 9th, the selection of form one will be due.
