The popular comedy trio 3 Men Army and producer DJ Regun have officially announced their departure from NRG Radio, ending their chapter at the urban radio station. The announcement came on October 6, 2025, through a joint statement on their social media platforms.
In their statement, the entertainers described their time at NRG as an “amazing chapter” filled with “love, laughs, and unforgettable moments on and off the mic.” They thanked their listeners for tuning in and supporting their show, ‘The Hotbox,’ and reassured fans that “this isn’t goodbye—it’s just the next adventure. Stay tuned.”
The partnership began when 3 Men Army and DJ Regun joined NRG Radio, combining the trio’s massive digital following with the station’s broadcast platform. ‘The Hotbox’ became a flagship show, blending the trio’s signature unfiltered humour with DJ Regun’s musical curation and contributions to on-air conversations.
Their exit adds to a trend of high-profile departures from NRG, which has previously seen influential personalities such as Andrew Kibe, Kamene Goro, King Kalala, Natalie Githinji, and Shaq The Yungin leave the station.
Beyond radio, 3 Men Army continues to grow their digital media presence. Their YouTube channel features popular skits and content, while their TikTok and Instagram accounts engage a large audience. They also host ‘The 97s Podcast,’ where they discuss social and cultural topics in long-form episodes. The trio further maintains partnerships and endorsements with major brands.
DJ Regun remains a key figure in the music and entertainment industry. He continues his career as a professional DJ and music producer, performing at corporate events, club nights, and music festivals. He is also involved in organizing and promoting music events, maintaining a strong presence both on-air and on the stage.
Their departure marks the end of a memorable era for NRG Radio, but both 3 Men Army and DJ Regun are set to continue shaping Kenya’s entertainment scene through their digital platforms and live performances.
