5 Kenyan Celebs Who Escaped Unhurt From Riverside Drive Terror Attack

Dusit D2 Hotel located along 14 Riverside Drive in Nairobi’s Westlands was attacked yesterday leaving scores injured and tenths dead.

However on a positive side note, hundreds of victims were rescued by security agents and medical teams in an operation that took through overnight.

Here are some of the celebs who escaped the attack unhurt.

Silas Apollo and Dickson Onyango

The two journalists from Nation Media Group were rescued in the morning. The two had been on assignment before the terror attack happened

NTV journalists Silas Apollo and Dickson Onyango among the first to be rescued this morning and evacuated from Dusit Hotel.They were on assignment at CRA. Silas says he was hiding in a toilet on 1st floor & all he wanted was to get out & were around 30 on 1flr #RiversideAttack

Boni Khalwale’s daughter



Former Ikolamani MP and Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale was all happy and thankful to security officers after they rescued his daughter.

Am on the scene of the terrorist attack in Chiromo. My daughter is trapped in the building under attack!

Boni had camped to the scene of crime from Yesterday evening, before they arrived to save his daughter today early morning.

Willy Paul



Singer Willy Paul went on Twitter to thank God for rescuing his life.

The attack which happened at Dusit Hotel in Riverside, Westlands area has already confirmed one dead on arrival at MP Shah Hospital.

Willy Paul happened to be next to the deadly area.

Today, I've seen how much God loves me!! He's given me another chance to live. I hope everyone survived the attack at dusit.. I've never come across such a thing in my life!!! Ron Ngeno- Journalist



Ronald Ngéno who was also at the centre of Dusit Hotel attack in Westland’s Riverside area in Nairobi has been rescued.

It is clear that from his treats his life was on the verge and only God and himself made it through.
