During the pregnancy period, women always look for ways to continue with their normal daily activities, always taking special care to mitigate any risk situation for them or their baby.

For this reason, YVK shares some recommendations so that women can drive in the safest way:

1.It is advisable to use the three-point safety belt, keeping the lower band under the belly, as fair as possible.

The diagonal band should cross the middle of the shoulder, pass between the breasts and cross laterally to the abdomen. It should not stay on the belly, under the arm or in the armpit.

2.During the first trimester of pregnancy; period in which the onset of dizziness, nausea, vomiting and drowsiness is very common; It is advisable that the pregnant woman avoid driving if she has any of these symptoms.

3.It is also not advisable to drive after the eighth month of pregnancy, or when the belly has grown to be very close to the steering wheel, because, in the case of a collision, there is a greater risk of the complications.

4.It is advisable to have the telephone numbers of the doctor and family members in a place of easy visibility inside the vehicle and, in case of feeling any discomfort while driving, the pregnant woman should park in a safe place and quickly contact her trusted persons.

5.If the inconveniences are very strong, it is best to opt for a taxi service to the nearest health center and not drive in that state.
