This problem is characterized by an exaggerated anguish that disables people to make any kind of decision, that is why it is important that those who suffer from it go to the doctor to be prescribed an adequate treatment.

However, Youth Village Kenya gives you five tips to control your anxiety, anguish and panic:

1.Relaxation: All emotion is connected to the body, so try to identify the sensations that are generated in your body and try to eliminate tension.

2.Breathe: Inhale in a leisurely way, so that you recreate a sense of tranquility. Even a plastic or paper bag can help you.

3.Calm your inner voice: Identify what it is that worries or worries you and tries to forget. Think of something positive and help you improve your mood.

4.Recover the connection with the present: Stand firmly against the ground, move your legs and focus on what is happening around you. You can give some rhythmic pats on the legs, alternating hands.

5.Set some goals: Having goals to fulfill will help eliminate uncertainty and forget the pressure.

Treatment and prevention

Through psychotherapy and the prescription of some medications, panic attacks can be treated. In the first, the therapist works with the patient to expose him little by little to situations that are the cause of the anxiety and will help to tolerate the feelings of anguish.

For its part, most antidepressants help fight panic attacks, but be swallowed daily for several weeks before you can appreciate its effects.

By taking the right treatment, the person is able to control their symptoms, find relief and continue with their lives.
