Technology advances, but students cannot stop studying books. Books will always be the great pillars of knowledge despite technological progress. Even if we consider the digital, the book finds its version there.

In this note, we will see why it is better to continue studying as in the old days.

  1. The books are written by experts in the field

And if he is not a super expert, at least he will be someone who understands a lot. It is better than some sites on the Internet or that your teacher, which of course in some cases can get to know a lot, but in others, not so much. This is especially useful when your teacher wrongly explains.

  1. The book is subjected to rigorous revision

Before being published, a book is submitted to the editing process where several professionals arrange and improve what the original author or authors wrote. With this, the final result turns out to be a polished and higher quality work.

  1. The book clears doubts and gives certainty

To say that books contain absolute truth is too much. But we can say that its content is usually unquestionable, at least in the most basic concepts, leaving aside the cases in which points of view and currents of thought or theories are expressed. And, of course, the errata.

  1. Clarity in the explanation

Definitions and concepts are constructed so that they can be understood. The graphics and illustrations are clear and are made, in many cases, on a computer. Better than the hand-drawn graphic that a teacher can make on a blackboard.

  1. Professional vocabulary

The book is written by professionals for students. Studying books forces to get used to reading this type of vocabulary. This is also a way to prepare and educate yourself as a professional.

  1. Possibility of rereading

If the explanation is not understood, it is read again. Many times in class we can miss something. Reading a book we can lose a thousand times, but we can also reread it the same number of times if necessary.

  1. Visual fatigue

This advantage is if we study from a PC or some device with a screen. With a paper book we will never get tired of our eyes as much as with devices that radiate light. Of course, like the Kindles do not have this. But keep in mind that they are not for students, but for reading in general.

  1. More comprehensive knowledge

If you study only what your teacher dictates, you will learn enough to pass the exam. But if you study from the book, you will learn a lot more and have a more general understanding of the subject.
