Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata said ‘I do’ to the love of his heart Mary Wambui in a lovely wedding attended by top politicians including President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The love-birds tied the knot at Gathinja Catholic Church in Wangu ward, Kiharu Constituency on September 15th, 2018.
Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura was chosen to be the best man while Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro picked among the groomsmen during the colourful ceremony. Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka was also in the crowd.
Few weeks ago, the 39-year old vocal politician had pointed out his plans to wed mother of three Mrs.Wambui.
“I’m not a bachelor as widely perceived. I’ve been married to Ms Wambui for eight years and blessed with three children. We will just be solemnising our marriage,” he said
Surprisingly, his ailing dad is the one who championed the wedding idea which saw only invites allowed in.
“My father has been sick for a while and he requested me to do the wedding and since we all must obey our parents, I immediately started preparations,” he said.
