All employees will be set free at exactly 4pm by all there employers to allow them beat up the 7pm-5am curfew hours.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i  made the orders public on the beginning of April after the number of COVID-19 positive cases rose to 81 cases.

“To facilitate compliance with Public Order (State Curfew), all employers shall ensure that their staff [members] who are not designated as critical or essential services providers leave the workplace no later than 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon,” said the minister in a special issue Gazette Notice dated March 30

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe had pleaded with employers to release workers in good time so as to beat the curfew hours

“You cannot release your employee from work at 6:30pm in Nairobi CBD, and expect him or her to get to Thika in 30 minutes,” said Kagwe last Monday after updating Kenyans on the coronavirus situation in the country at the time.

The 7pm-5am curfew came into force on Friday, March 27.
