Job Title: Editor and Head of Content
The Role: As the Head of Content you will have a senior management role within the Nomad team, supporting the development of content in print and digital. You will be deeply passionate about travel journalism, creative writing, digital marketing, design, photography, and have an understanding of how creative content drives the promotion of Africa’s tourism ecosystem.
This role will require deep thought, creativity, and an adventurous spirit. Specifically, you will oversee all aspects of content at Nomad. Your primary responsibility will be to create content by writing articles and curating social media posts to support our newly established Nomad Travel Club. The role will require continuous promotion of our Travel Club partner properties that are located around Kenya, and promote these properties in purposeful and creative ways.
As the Editor and Head of Content, you will also manage the entire publication process for Nomad’s quarterly magazine, which will include writing feature articles, managing and editing contributor’s work, selecting photographs, and working closely with our designer for the magazine. This role will also require the management of our network of contributors (writers, photographers, influencers) who visit and produce content for our partners in digital and print.

Qualifications:

The Role: As the Head of Nomad Travel Club Operations you will have a senior management role within the Nomad team, supporting the day-to-day operations and growth of the newly launched Nomad Travel Club. You will be required to provide ongoing support to the CEO both strategically and operationally.
This role will require keen insight and judgement, strong people management skills, and a positive proactive and assertive attitude. Specifically, you will oversee all aspects of the Nomad Travel Club, including signing up partners, maintaining client relationships, managing the booking platform, supervising our members, and overseeing all booking logistics that come through the NTC. Your primary responsibility is to be the main point-of-contact between Nomad and our partner properties that are located throughout Kenya, and the NTC members who become guests at those properties. As the incoming Head of NTC you will also be required to manage the NTC team, which will include recruiting and hiring a bookings manager and NTC sales associate, in due course.
