Kenyan TikTok sensation Rose Atieno, popularly known as Nyako, has broken her silence over the challenges she has been facing, revealing that she lost her German permanent residency due to TikTok-related legal battles. The self-proclaimed “TikTok President” asked netizens to leave her alone, saying she is already going through a tough time and does not have the energy to pick fights online.

Nyako’s Struggles After TikTok Lawsuits

Nyako, who had been living in Germany, disclosed that her troubles began after fellow TikToker Choku accused her of various offenses and reported her to the German authorities. As a result, she lost her job and turned to TikTok full-time, eventually gaining fame on the platform.

However, in a recent live session, Nyako revealed that the continuous reports against her on TikTok led to her permanent residency being revoked. She explained how the German government keeps track of complaints, which eventually affected her visa status.

“I had to run away from that village because I was smelling deportation after my permanent residency was revoked. Because of TikTok reports all the time. Anything reported to the German government is being listed on the computer and is sent to immigration. The day you are going to update your visa status or get your German passport, they check your records. My permanent residency was revoked,” she said.

Facing Harassment and Mental Health Struggles

Nyako also claimed that police frequently harassed her due to the ongoing court cases. Additionally, she lamented that some social media users had made her life even more difficult by spreading personal information and attacking her online.

“People are adding pain where there is already pain. They even exposed my private parts here on TikTok. I almost ended everything. I am a human being, and you cannot swallow all these things forever—at some point, you will break down. Why don’t people just let me be? You all know TikTok drove me to where I am, and you still want to drive me to my grave,” she added.

Despite her struggles, Nyako remained defiant, stating that she would not shy away from asking for help if things became unbearable.

German Government’s Financial Audit on Nyako

In a separate revelation, Nyako once showed off documents from the German authorities demanding an audit of her TikTok earnings. The government wanted a breakdown of her income from the app, especially since she was previously under state support after losing her job.

The authorities reportedly required her to disclose how much she earned daily throughout November 2023, raising further scrutiny on her financial dealings.

Nyako’s fall from grace serves as a cautionary tale about the consequences of social media disputes and online drama. While some netizens sympathize with her, others believe her struggles are a lesson in humility. As she navigates this tough season, only time will tell what the future holds for the once-thriving TikToker.
