Mugithi music star Samidoh left fans in awe with a surprise performance at the Ngemi Festival held on March 8, 2025. The festival, which celebrated Kikuyu culture with a mix of music, dance, art, and fashion, witnessed an unexpected and thrilling moment when Samidoh appeared unannounced to take the stage, stealing the spotlight.

The Ngemi Festival, held at Eva’s Garden Redhill in Nairobi’s leafy suburbs, was a vibrant celebration of Kikuyu heritage. This third edition of the festival showcased traditional Kikuyu dances, solo verses, and other cultural expressions. However, the highlight of the day came when Samidoh, who was not originally listed as part of the lineup, made his surprise appearance.

Samidoh’s Surprise Performance

The crowd was first teased by Samidoh’s latest hit “Toxic Love (Wendo wa Ihera)” playing offstage, which puzzled and intrigued fans. But when the Mugithi star finally hit the stage, the audience erupted into cheers, welcoming him with open arms. His performance was nothing short of electrifying, as he belted out some of his biggest hits, sending the packed venue into a frenzy. His energy and stage presence were undeniably captivating, making his set one of the most talked-about moments of the festival.

One of the standout moments of Samidoh’s performance was when he called out his famous catchphrase, prompting the crowd to sing along. The interaction quickly turned humorous, with fans playfully listing his wives, adding a lighthearted twist to the performance. Samidoh, however, kept things respectful, ensuring the playful banter didn’t veer into anything inappropriate.

Reflecting on the unforgettable experience, Samidoh took to social media to express his gratitude to the fans who made the day memorable. “I decided to surprise my fans at Ngemi 3.0, but wah, they surprised me instead. I am here to say all glory to God, may his favor follow me all the days of my life. My fans, I am so grateful. May you never lack!” he shared, acknowledging the overwhelming support he received.

Samidoh’s performance was a showstopper, further solidifying his status as one of Kenya’s most beloved artists. Fans left the festival buzzing with excitement, eager for more performances from the Mugithi sensation.

In other news, Samidoh recently celebrated a victory when his hit song “Toxic Love” was restored on YouTube after facing a copyright strike. The song had been taken down due to alleged copyright violations, which were later found to be unfounded. Samidoh continues to dominate the music scene, and his fans can’t wait for his next surprise performance.
