Renowned fashion designer Bolo Bespoke recently shared a heartfelt video from his village, highlighting quality time spent with his mother and a close relative. The video captured warm, family moments as they enjoyed a lunch of ugali and fish by a beach resort. Bolo wore a crisp white tee and matching pants, while his relative looked radiant in a yellow dress adorned with floral details.
While the video celebrated family bonds, Bolo used the caption to address a painful personal experience involving a cousin he had supported for over a decade. He revealed that despite helping her during difficult times—paying rent, providing food and clothing, and even supporting her husband—she had spoken ill of his family after he stopped providing financial assistance.
“A cousin of mine, someone I supported for over 10 years, even during my Mkokoteni days when I had nothing, now has the audacity to speak ill of my family,” Bolo wrote. He expressed disappointment, stating, “Now, just because I stopped giving them money, they suddenly find the courage to talk nonsense? Clearly, being there for them was the biggest mistake I made. But it’s okay, we move forward, one step at a time.”
Bolo also emphasized his commitment to his family and personal growth, noting, “And just to be clear 👉🏿 I’m not leaving home until I change home. That’s why I’m here. It’s time.”
The post follows Bolo’s previous public acts of generosity and family engagement, including a recent visit to Ida Odinga’s office with his wife, Mueni, where they surprised her with gifts and shared warm moments.
Bolo Bespoke’s recent reflections highlight both the joy of family connections and the challenges of ungrateful relatives. His message underscores the importance of boundaries while celebrating the unwavering support of loved ones, particularly his mother.
