On 29th July, Miss World Kenya Roshanara Ebrahim was stripped off her title and her obligations to represent the country in any national or international pageants .
In a press release, the Miss World Kenya organizers said that a ‘grave situation had come to their attention’ in regards to Roshanara’s conduct.
Apparently, Roshanara had not complied with their strict code of conduct that ‘expects beauty queens to manage their public and private life.’
As sad as this situation is, it turns our Roshanara is not the only beauty queen who was disgraced after her title was stripped off. Here are other beautiful ladies who lost their crowns this year
1.Miss Universe Honduras

Following her crowning in November last year and constant practice for the upcoming Miss Universe Pageant, Miss Hounduras Sirey Moran’s crown was revoked this year over ‘breaching her contract’ and ‘diva-like behavior’.
She then accused one of the pageant organizers Carlos Rivera, of beating her up before revoking her crown after they had a disagreement.
Carlos on the other hand accused Sirey of breaching the contract in regards to event appearances and photo shoots. Apparently, Sirey attended events and did photo-shoots without consulting Carimaxx, the organization headed by Carlos and which organizes Miss Universe pageants and manages beauty queens in Honduras.
2.Miss Universe Puerto Rico

It seems that there is a lot of drama in the Miss Universe world as Miss Universe Puerto Rico was stripped off her crown over what the organizers called an attitude problem. Apparently, Kristhielee Caride (Miss Universe Puerto Rico) acted indifferent and admitted that she was camera shy during an interview with a local newspaper. Something which mortified the organizers who said that beauty queens always have to be ‘on’ and put their best face forward.
In addition, the organizers accused Caride of not apologizing after the incident and cancelling other model-like appearances due to doctor’s appointments.
So after all this drama, Caride lost her crown to Brenda Jimenez in March this year.
3.Miss Florida USA

6 days after bagging the crown, Genesis Davila, Miss Florida had the rug pulled from underneath her. She was stripped off her crown due to allegedly bringing in her own make-up and hair stylist instead of using the ones provided by the pageant organizers.
Speaking to the press, Grant Gravitt, the pageant’s executive director said “We have a zero-tolerance policy on rules. Whether it’s something major or minor, it’s all about keeping an equal and level playing field. Unfortunately, our title holder sought an unfair competitive advantage, and that’s just not acceptable in our system.”
Grant then went on to showcase a photo of Genesis allegedly getting her makeup done during the pageant. A photo Genesis says was taken 7 days before the pageant for a photo-shoot.
Genesis on her part accused Grant of defamation after he allegedly cropped out the real date on the said picture to make it look like Genesis had taken it during the event. Now Genesis is looking to make 15 Million dollars in damages from the pageant owners (Gravitt, Tel-Air Interests, Inc. and IMG Universe, LP.) and the restoration of her crown over this ‘smear campaign’.
