Provisional statistics indicate that atleast 10 people have died from the heavy rains which started at the beginning of March 2018.
Even after the MET department had warned on this disaster, the national and county government disaster management department was left even helpless and unable to rescue themselves, leave away rescuing the tax payers.
Below are some of the safety tips you should keep in mind.
- Put on bright colours and non-slip shoes
- Stand back from pavements to keep drivers away from splashing water to you
- Do not use your phone when it is raining while walking
- If you have to go out, avoid standing next to tall objects such as electricity poles and trees
- Avoid liking or standing in flowing water
- Monitor media and weather reports for updates
- Give yourself alot of time for heavy traffic and blocked roads
- Avoid following vehicles in close range
- Drive slowly in rains with headlights kept on
- Remember to stay safe with the rest around you
