Police have identified the mysterious man who was sprayed on Thika Superhighway with more than 40 bullets as private investigator Wilson Mwangi Munene.
Munene died on spot after his vehicle Mercedes Benz compressor KCE 183Z was shot at 40 times.
The assailants used a black vehicle to block the late agent, who shot at him before taking off. They were believed to have been three assailants.
Munene who was living in Roysambu was known to police in Kasarani and Nairobi Area DCI headquarters. The remains of his body were moved to Thika General Kago Funeral Home while the vehicle was towed to Thika police station
