Wambui Kamiru, the widow to Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore wrote a text message to Jeff Koinange which was read live on air.

The message stated that mourners who will attend Bob’s memorial service at All Saints Cathedral should not wear dark or black clothes.

According to Wambui Kamiru, Bob’s life deserved to be celebrated more than being mourned.

She said that she wanted the memorial service to be rather a happy and jovial mood as it is against the norms

Bob died on 1st of July and was cremated at Kariokor on 2nd of same month in 2019
