An active sex life would be more important than we think. This is because by having sex with your partner regularly you can lose weight, forget about stress and protect your heart from cardiovascular diseases.

However, when you stop having sex the consequences can be great and then we tell you four of them.

1.- You lose desire

Maybe you had heard this, but you never thought it was true. This happens because when you stop having sex your body produces less hormones than general sexual desire.

2. Your heart becomes prone to disease

Having sex with your partner is a great cardiovascular exercise. Therefore, when you stop doing so you have a better chance of having a heart attack.

3.Weight

It is no secret to anyone that having sex with your partner is the best exercise to lose weight, but stopping doing so will make you gain a few pounds and develop respiratory diseases, hypertension and atherosclerosis.

4. Decrease some brain functions

During sex some hormones generate a feeling of well-being, but when there is sexual abstinence these substances are not segregated beginning to have problems in mood, memory and decision making.
