A deadly stampede at Kakamega Primary School on Monday claimed the lived of 14 pupils and left more than 39 nursing injuries.
Out of the 39 injured pupils, 20 were treated at the county’s referral hospital and discharged, this is according to Western Region Police Commander Peris Kimani .
Reports indicated that the pupils fell from a third flow to the ground after they had responded to a 5pm bell indicating time to go home.
Emergency services were offered by police and Kenya Red Cross crew.
