When Ugandan Bobi Wine was arrested and subjected to torture, Kenyans were among the first freedom crusaders who denounced the inhuman act and demanded his immediate release.
Kenyans acted a gateway and a catalyst to the campaign using the hashtag #FreeBobiWine bearing in mind that Uganda’s 30 year serving Head of State had already sanctioned social media in Uganda using an ill-motivated tax.
